Commuter Profiles

For National Bike Month we have asked League members to share some of their commuting experiences. Here is what they had to say. Tell us your commuting stories here. We will be selecting and adding profiles often.

1. What are the best things about commuting in your town?

Talking to newspaper vendors and waving to dog walkers.

2. What are the worst things about commuting in there?

Drivers who are in too much of a hurry to watch where they are going.
Drivers who look left and turn right on red without coming to a stop and not seeing me when I am right in front of them.

3. What would make you ride more often?

I ride every chance I get

4. How long have you been commuting?

1976

5. How many miles do you commute per week?

I live 5 miles from the college (college teacher) and 12 miles from the district office and average about fifty miles a week.

6. What kind of bike do you commute on?
